In brief. We use a handful of cookies to make the site work, to understand how it's used, and, if you agree, to let Google count when an enquiry came from one of our adverts. No personalised advertising, and no tracking across other websites.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember things about your visit (for example, that you've already dismissed a notice) and let us count visits to pages.
The cookies we use
- Essential cookies. These are required for the site to work, such as remembering your cookie preferences. They don't track you.
- Analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited most, and on which devices, so we can write more of what people find useful. These are only set if you agree: until you do, Google receives no cookies from your visit.
- Advert measurement. If you agree, Google Ads can also count whether an enquiry followed a click on one of our adverts, so we know which adverts are worth running. It is a count, not a profile: we do not use personalised advertising, we do not build audiences from your visit, and we do not track you across other websites.
